Top 7 AI tools to create L&D content for teams at scale
Seven AI tools training teams use to make lessons, videos and courses: what each one does well, what a team pays, and where it stops.

I run Veurone, so our own tool is first on this list. I've tried to be fair to the other six. Every price and plan comes from each company's own website in October 2026, and the links are at the end.
Making one lesson is easy. Making 200 is the job.
AI can turn a document into a training video in minutes now. The hard part starts when ten people make 200 lessons in six languages. Then they have to keep them all up to date.
Building learning has always taken time. In 2010, Chapman Alliance surveyed 249 organisations about it. One finished hour of interactive eLearning took an average of 184 hours to build.[1]
AI tools cut a big share of that work. They draft from your documents, add a voice, translate it and package it for your LMS. At team scale, you also need shared work, review and a way to see what people learned.
So we looked at each tool the way a training team would. Here's what we checked:
- Lessons built from the documents you already have
- Room for a team: shared work, roles and review
- Things for learners to do, beyond watching
- A way into your LMS, through SCORM or results you can export
- Translation without rebuilding each version
- What a team of three or ten pays
The seven tools at a glance
Prices are for a team of three editors, a month, paid yearly.
| Tool | Made for | 3 editors |
|---|---|---|
| Veurone Studio | Interactive lessons and courses, with video inside | $160 (Team) |
| Synthesia | Videos with lifelike AI presenters | $834+ (Enterprise, usually $10,000+ a year) |
| Colossyan | AI avatar videos and courses for training | $119 (Professional) |
| HeyGen | Avatar videos and translation for any team | $159 (Business) |
| Articulate 360 | Custom eLearning courses | $437 (3 seats) |
| iSpring Suite | Courses built in PowerPoint | $323 (3 authors, with AI) |
| Easygenerator | Courses written by your own experts | $625 (Team, from 5 authors) |
Veurone's Team price covers video, courses, practice, certificates, SCORM and learner results, for up to 1,000 learners a month.
1. Veurone Studio
The Studio for Designing Interactive L&D Experiences.
Veurone Studio is where your team designs interactive learning: lessons with video, practice, quizzes and certificates, in your brand. You give its AI agent your documents. It asks you a few questions, then plans the course with you.
What you get
- A course designed with you, stage by stage. The agent writes the brief, the course design and a storyboard for each lesson. You approve each stage before it builds the next.
- Things for learners to do. Lessons mix short videos with practice: hotspots, ordering, matching, sorting and fill in the blanks. Videos stop for a question, and branching scenarios let people make choices.
- Presenters that point. 21 animated 3D characters come free on every plan. They point at what's being explained and react as the lesson goes. You can also have your own mascot made.
- No AI label on the presenter. The characters are plainly animated. Under the European Commission's guidelines on the AI Act, cartoons like these aren't deep fakes.[2]
- Motion design built in. Over 200 animations and transitions, a timeline with keyframes, and charts and maps that build as the voice speaks.
- One link, 39 languages. Translate the voice-over, captions and words on screen in one step. Viewers pick their language from the same link. Change the original, and every language follows.
- Into your LMS, and back. SCORM 1.2 and 2004 come with every paid plan. With connected SCORM, you add a course to your LMS once. It updates when you publish, and results come back.
- Proof that people learned. A final quiz with a pass mark, and certificates anyone can check. Results show who passed, where people stop and which answers they miss.
It runs in your browser and as an app for Mac and Windows. In the app, the agent can run on your own Claude or ChatGPT plan.
For teams: Team is $200 a month for 3 editors, or $160 a month paid yearly. Business is $500 a month for 10 editors, or $400 paid yearly. Editors share one library and the month's credits. Up to 500 reviewers can watch and comment for free.
Keep in mind: We don't make lifelike human avatars, on purpose, and we don't clone voices. Single sign-on and security certifications of our own aren't there yet.
Best for: L&D teams who want lessons, video, practice and certificates in one place, ready for their LMS.
2. Synthesia
Synthesia makes training and business videos with lifelike AI presenters, in your browser.
What it does well
- Lifelike AI avatars: 125+ on Starter, 180+ on Pro and 240+ on Enterprise, plus personal avatars of you.
- Its AI video assistant builds a draft from a prompt, files or links.
- Buttons and branching from Pro. Quizzes and one-click translation into 140+ languages are on Enterprise.[3]
- AI roleplays, where learners practise conversations, at $29 a learner a month.
- Security certifications: SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, ISO 27701 and ISO 42001.[4]
For teams: Starter is $19 a month, or $14 paid yearly. Pro is $89 a month, or $59 paid yearly.[5] Both have one editor. Guests can view and comment, but they can't edit, so a second editor means Enterprise.[6] Quizzes, brand kits, SCORM export and single sign-on are on Enterprise too. Synthesia doesn't publish what Enterprise costs. Arcade's 2026 guide says it usually lands in the low five figures a year.[7] Across 32 purchases tracked by Vendr, the median buyer paid $39,900 a year.[8]
Keep in mind: Extra editors, quizzes and SCORM all need Enterprise, so a team's price comes from Synthesia's sales team.
Best for: Companies that want lifelike presenters and detailed security reviews.
3. Colossyan
Colossyan is an AI video tool made for workplace learning. It puts avatar videos and courses in one place.
What it does well
- It builds videos and courses from documents and scripts, and imports PowerPoint and PDF files.
- 300+ stock avatars, avatars of you from a photo or video, and 120+ languages.
- Videos with quizzes and branching scenarios.
- A multilingual player and a screen recorder.
- SOC 2 Type II, with EU or US data residency on Enterprise.
For teams: The free Starter plan has one editor and 20 minutes of video a month. Professional is $59 a month paid yearly, with up to 3 editors at $30 a month each. It includes 15 interactive videos and 5 SCORM exports a month. Enterprise removes the limits and adds single sign-on and analytics.[9]
Keep in mind: Below Enterprise, interactive videos, translations and SCORM exports have monthly caps.
Best for: Small training teams who want avatar videos and simple courses together.
4. HeyGen
HeyGen makes avatar videos for every kind of team, from marketing to training.
What it does well
- 700+ stock avatars on paid plans, and a custom avatar with your own voice and likeness.
- Video translation into 175 languages and dialects.
- Video Agent, which turns a prompt, documents, slides or a web page into a video.[10]
- 4K exports from the Pro plan.
For teams: Creator is $29 a month, or $24 paid yearly, for one person. Business is $149 a month, or $119 paid yearly, plus $20 a month for each extra seat. It adds a shared workspace, brand kits, single sign-on, SCORM export and LMS integrations.[11]
Keep in mind: HeyGen counts credits, and what a video costs depends on the AI model you pick. It's made for video, so courses and practice activities need another tool.
Best for: Teams that need many languages and lifelike avatars, for training and beyond.
5. Articulate 360
Articulate 360 is a set of course authoring apps. Rise builds courses that fit every screen, and Storyline builds custom interactive courses.
What it does well
- AI generation that drafts complete courses from your source material.
- Storyline, for interactions you design in detail.
- Review with stakeholders, and analytics on engagement and completion.
- Translation into 80+ languages, AI avatar videos and an AI tutor for learners.
- Reach, its own LMS, on the team plan.
For teams: Articulate 360 AI is $1,749 a seat a year for teams. A single seat for one designer is $1,449 a year. There's a 14-day free trial.[12]
Keep in mind: Some AI work, like translation and avatar videos, runs on credits. Storyline gives you full control, and that control takes design time.
Best for: Instructional designers who want to control every interaction.
6. iSpring Suite
iSpring Suite turns PowerPoint into an eLearning tool. You build courses on slides, then publish them for any LMS.
What it does well
- iSpring Suite AI turns your own materials into slide-based courses with quizzes.
- An AI assistant for text, images and quiz questions, plus AI voiceovers and translation.
- 14 quiz types, role-plays, branching scenarios and screencasts.
- SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, xAPI and cmi5.
- iSpring Cloud AI, for building in the browser with your team in real time.
For teams: iSpring Suite AI is $1,290 an author a year. iSpring Suite without AI is $970.[13]
Keep in mind: The desktop app runs on Windows, inside PowerPoint.[14]
Best for: Teams whose training already lives in PowerPoint.
7. Easygenerator
Easygenerator is an authoring tool made for people who aren't learning designers. Its idea is that your own subject experts write the training.[15]
What it does well
- EasyAI comes with every plan, with no add-ons.
- Doc-to-Course builds a course from up to three PDF, Word or PowerPoint files.[16]
- Co-authoring and unlimited reviewers on the Team plan.
- Results tracking, learner analytics and certificates on Team.
- EasyTranslate, an add-on, translates one master course into 75 languages.
For teams: Pro is $1,499 a year for one author, with 10 courses and 100 learners. Team starts at 5 authors for $7,495 a year, with unlimited courses and learners.[17]
Keep in mind: Translation costs extra, and Pro stops at 10 courses.
Best for: Companies where subject experts write the training and L&D reviews it.
How to pick
- If you want lifelike presenters, look at Synthesia, HeyGen or Colossyan.
- If your designers build custom interactions by hand, Articulate 360 gives them full control.
- If your content lives in PowerPoint, iSpring Suite works where you already are.
- If your subject experts write the courses, Easygenerator is made for them.
- If you want to design lessons, video, practice and certificates in one place, start with Veurone Studio.
Most of these tools have a free plan or a free trial. Take one real piece of your training, like an onboarding module, and build it in two of them. You'll see the difference in an afternoon.
Veurone Studio is free to start, with no card. Give the agent a document, and see the course it plans with you.
